I'll Miss You, Jet Li

I was watching Fearless again and after watching Jet Li doing his little death dance at the end that I love so much, (I swear that movie makes me cry ...well, close to it anyways) I felt like drawing dancing chinese guys. I tried first drawing gestures when I realized just how rusty I was at it. The thing at the bottom was the last thing I drew. I wanted to do a whole chinese-brush-type drawing but it didn't really turn out. Not simplified enough.

*goes to watch Fearless again*

It was too big to scan in one go so it has that funky line, but it's my version of a griffin. They're my favourite mythical creature. Wondering if I have the time to colour it in later...

Yeah, so I did another car. Mucked up the front, but oh well. I'll Photoshop it out later.

I felt like drawing a car...so I drew a car. I think another one's coming too.

And then....I went and doodled some other random character again.

This is another city pic for my friend. Trying to get into the whole futuristic feel of things and all.

Yeah, I had some extra time so I doodled myself as a ninja from Naruto. XD I'm a nerd.

It's not done or anything. You can still see all the cruddy lines.

Oh, the reason I did this is I found this guy who works on Simpsons in DeviantArt who likes anime so he makes Simpson versions of them. It's pretty neat. Anyways, he drew himself as a ninja and I wanted to do the same. XP

Both are doodlins for a friend. Trying to figure out how his city is going to look like. The first - pencil sketch. Thought it'd be kind of like a ghetto marketplace, but it's just the ghetto now. The second - Too open for him, but moreso was a colour sketch to figure out what colours I could use.

I had like, a brain spew or something. I haven't really drawn with pen and such in a long time, so criticism is welcome. WOW I'm drawing again....

Anyways, trying to redo my portfolio again. I lost pretty much all my old stuff. My comp is dead and I need work. Might as well put the classes I took to good use, no?
